Celebrities join world-leading experts for Opening Night at Migraine World Summit’s first-ever live event. Actress Kristin Chenoweth and NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis partner with the Migraine World Summit to spark a movement to end the stigma around migraine.
MWSLive will kick-off the annual 8-day virtual summit with a live simulcast event. It will be held at UCLA on March 19, 2019 from 4:00-8:00pm in front of a live audience of over 500 people with migraine, the largest gathering of people with migraine.
Award-winning performer Kristin Chenoweth will reveal details of her almost career-ending personal struggle with migraine attacks. Chenoweth will be joined by SuperBowl MVP Terrell Davis, who will share his own lifelong migraine battle. Three world-leading migraine experts from UCLA, University of Vermont and Albert Einstein College of Medicine will share valuable insights and answer questions from the live audience.
Migraine World Summit Live will be held at UCLA Luskin Conference Center on the beautiful UCLA campus.
Self-service parking for Luskin Conference Center (LCC) visitors is available close to LCC. We will cover the cost of your parking and you will need to present your ticket to the UCLA parking attendant upon arrival at the P8 Lot, Level 3 or 4. Please note: We will only be able to cover your parking if you park in this designated lot.
There is a convenient Pedestrian Walkway/Bridge connecting Parking Structure 8 (on Level 3) to the LCC. For directions to the LCC and more information, click here.

Dr. Andrew Charles is Director of Headache Research and Treatment and Professor of Neurology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He leads the Goldberg Migraine Program, established in December 2015 with the largest single private grant ever for migraine research in order to develop new treatments and research a potential cure. He has served on the board for the American Headache Society since 2010, and the board of trustees for the International Headache Society since 2011.
Dr. Robert Shapiro is a professor in the Department of Neurological Sciences at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and the founding president and board member of the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy. His national advocacy efforts have been recognized by the American Academy of Neurology with the AAN Palatucci Advocate of the Year Award and the AAN Viste Patient Advocate of the Year Award. Dr. Shapiro leads the Headache on the Hill movement every year on Capital Hill.
Dawn C. Buse, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Neurology of Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and Assistant Professor in the Clinical Health Psychology Doctoral Program of Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and a member of the Board of Directors and a Fellow of the American Headache Society.
Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth’s career spans film, television, voiceover and stage. In 2015, Chenoweth received a coveted star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2009, she received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in “Pushing Daises.” In 1999, she won a Tony Award for “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” and she was also nominated for her original role of Glinda the Good Witch in “Wicked” in 2004. She has her own migraine story.
Terrell Lamar Davis is a former American football running back who played for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League from 1995 to 2001. Davis won the MVP in the Super Bowl with the Broncos. Davis was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017. Davis was drafted by the Broncos in the sixth round of the 1995 NFL Draft. He also has his own significant migraine story while playing in the Super Bowl with the Broncos.
